Mike Faux (Chief Executive) has almost always worked in the business of Security. He started out owning a gym, and also did some freelance security work. One area he was particularly involved in was to provide security for retail clothing companies in London who were in need of protection from ‘gangs.’

From day one Mike wanted to dispel the commonly held myths that security operators were pure brawn and no brains, and he worked hard with his clients to build a respected and trusted service. Having developed networks of clients in and around London, he decided that the time was right to establish his own business. As a result, Bodyguard Protection was born.

His reputation was strong and he was invited to participate in some very specialist training that was provided by the Police. He found himself honing his skills alongside SAS personnel who were involved in tracking Arms Dealers! Mike says he was privileged to have been asked to do this – and has had many challenging occasions where the valuable skills he learned have been used to great effect.

As the business grew, Mike found himself contracted to Sony Music and travelling all over the world providing close protection for their VIP’s, celebrities and bands. One of his most recent projects was to provide close protection for Paul Burrell when he was in New York, and has also been involved in assignments with the Royal Family Protection team, providing close protection for members of the Royal family. Mike emphasises how much planning and effort goes into an operation – it isn’t just standing close to a celebrity and wearing an ear piece!

Mike recognised that he could provide other professional support services to his growing base of high profile clients. Executive Security, Executive Concierge, Executive Cleaning and Executive Chauffeur divisions were established to meet his clients’ needs.
